Guardian ad Litem Services
Custody disputes can be an overwhelming experience for a child. A child’s everyday life is disrupted in big and small ways that they often don’t understand. During this difficult time, children need someone to advocate for their best interests. In South Carolina a Guardian ad Litem is appointed by the court to protect a child’s interests and to investigate on behalf of the court to allow a resolution that best meets the needs of the child.
Every child is unique and every family situation is different. John Bell brings experience, conscientiousness, compassion, and common sense to his role as Guardian in contested custody cases. He will advocate for the children involved in a disputed custody case. John has completed the training and continuing legal education required by South Carolina law to serve as a Guardian ad Litem in Family Court. He is available for appointment by consent of the parties in Family Court cases pending in Greenville, Spartanburg, Pickens, and Anderson Counties.
