About
Quality Legal Services at Affordable Rates
Nearly 80% of people of low and moderate means are unrepresented in important matters, such as divorce, child custody and visitation, and child support. Hiring a lawyer is something many people struggle to afford but in such important matters you cannot afford not to have someone fighting for you and your family. I am committed to making sure people of moderate means who don’t qualify for free legal services but can’t afford full market rates for a lawyer have someone fighting for them. I will work with you and your budget so you can afford the legal services you need.
A Different Kind of Law Office
My firm offers legal fees the average person can afford by using technology to keep costs low. Rather than a high-priced office building in downtown Greenville, I primarily have a virtual office. I communicate securely and confidentially with clients by telephone, Zoom, and email. Clients have a secure electronic portal to important documents and billing records which is accessible on your smartphone or home computer 24-7, 365 days a year. If it is important to meet in person, we will schedule a meeting in a conveniently located office near downtown Greenville with plenty of free parking.

FAMILY LAW
Divorces, child custody disputes, and other family court matters are often difficult with emotional and financial consequences. Feelings are high and many people are experiencing anger, grief, loneliness, and uncertainty. If you find yourself involved in a divorce, child custody dispute or other family court matter, you need a compassionate lawyer who can provide good advice and guidance through the family court process.
MEDIATION
Mediation is a negotiation process between parties with the goal of arriving at a resolution of their legal dispute. South Carolina law requires mediation in most civil and family court cases. It is a process in which an unbiased, neutral third-party mediator assists the parties in reaching an agreement resolving their legal dispute. The mediator does not act as a judge, or decide the dispute, but rather helps the parties reach a mutually acceptable agreement. Any settlement agreement the parties reach is voluntary. If the parties involved do not reach an agreement, they lose none of their rights to proceed to court.
GUARDIAN AD LITEM
Custody disputes can be an overwhelming experience for a child. A child’s everyday life is disrupted in big and small ways that they often don’t understand. During this difficult time, children need someone to advocate for their best interests. In South Carolina a Guardian ad Litem is appointed by the court to protect a child’s interests and to investigate on behalf of the court to allow a resolution that best meets the needs of the child.
